Giveaway for Online Mixed Media Class

I know I am due an update from last week’s posts. I will tell you just a few quick updates and then get down to the giveaway and I promise a longer update later this week:

  • I am still staying on top of the Whole Life Challenge. Thirty days down, 25 more to go.
  • I had my meeting, it went well and I stressed for nothing.
  • Life’s a collection of waiting moments right now. I do not do well with waiting.
  • I am really excited about my class starting soon.

On that great segue, I have one spot to give away in the class.

This class is taught by some of my favorite artists: Carolyn Peeler, CD Muckosky, Céline Navarro, Christy Tomlinson, Donna Downey, Frank Garcia, Rebecca Sower, Susan Weckesser, and me.

Here’s a bit more about the class:
Got paint? Get inspired! Nine mixed-media experts will help you experiment with a diverse array of artistic techniques in this 9-week online workshop.

Mixed Media Studio is like nine different classes in one! Each week, a different artsy all-star will share an exclusive project, a video that walks you through a featured technique, and step-by-step instructions to help you complete the project. Plus, you’ll get to interact directly with the artists via our private classroom message board and gallery.

Would you like to find your groove in the mixed-media world? Try your hand at nine different art styles, all collected into one affordable workshop.

If you know for sure that you’re interested, you can register by clicking here. I confirmed that if you win and you’ve already registered, they will reimburse you.

If you’d like to win a spot in this class, please leave a comment and tell me what kind of classes you’d like me to teach.

I will post a winner on Monday, October 20, right here.

I really hope to see you in class.

ps: All the links are affiliate links as it’s a big part of how I get paid for the class so I would be really grateful if you signed up by clicking through on one of my links 🙂

I’ve followed your blog for a very long time and have loved all your various projects. There are so many things I would love to learn that I really wouldn’t know where to start! Perhaps that could be a class!! 🙂

  • Tiffani

    Awesome! (Bullet point #2 above)
I really liked the card series you did a while back (last year?), and would enjoy learning your process of making them.

  • Ange

Thanks for the chance to win. I would love a class about exploring my goals and priorities for the year.
Similar to what you do at the start if each year. Something about setting your intentions and exploring what my creative year might look like.
Thanks again. I love your blog, particularly your thought posts.

  • Robin

I love all the white space on your art journal pages – would love to be able to do that!

  • Emily

I would love a class on the card series you did.

  • Lauren

I’d love a class on goals, how to prioritize and how you get it all done! I am just struggling and drowning and getting nothing accomplished!

  • Lynn Herrick

I think you do a lot of things well – art journaling, planning, goal setting. Would love to learn more about all of these things! Thanks.

  • Ariel

Love all your creative work Karen. I would especially love to learn your art journaling techniques. They are so colorful and bright.

  • Doeteke

Love your work. I do not have a specific idea in mind, but anything would be appreciated.

  • I would love to win a spot in this exciting mixed media class :). I love your art and I have been following your blog for a while, I love most your plain simple artwork, with one word as as a main focus (+ maybe one item), one word single word can be so powerful ;), so a mixed media class playing with a single inspiring word or a short quote as a main focus would interest me most 🙂

When I analyze what affects me most about your beautiful art what comes to mind is your use of color and space. It is unique and powerful and I’d love to have the opportunity to take a class in which you taught your students about how you make those choices and decisions. Thank you for the chance to offer some input on your future class offerings and to win a space in the Mixed Media Studio class!

I’ve considered contacting you regarding personal coaching and I really enjoy your art journaling. It seems to incorporate both art and working through or maybe enforcing things. I think a class that combines art techniques and guided journaling would be awesome. I don’t read your journaling but your stater phrases always make me think about how I might journal that topic.

  • Quinna

I LOVE your classes! I have not done any art journalling so this would be pretty exciting!

  • KarYn A.

I would like to see a class on your lettering…I love it….I try and I can’t get that look…that would be my wish. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Amy

I love your weekly art journal posts. A class on how you do such beautiful work would be awesome.

  • Suzanne S

I love your lettering! I always like to see how other artists go about prompts on quotes or such, so perhaps a class about quotes and lettering and arting to go along with it, would be of interest to me. 🙂

  • Cassy L.

Your blog posts are so mindful. I would enjoy a class that combines mindful journaling, even if it is choosing just one word and adding art. That could be in the format of an art journal of a postcard. Actually, I would love just about anything that you would choose to share and teach.

  • I just found your blog, but I have been looking around and it seems that you start each year with a plan, you have several main (?) projects going at the same time, you blog, teach, work and parent (among other activities, I imagine, too!) I would love to have a class where you coach students sharing your process(es) for choosing, organizing and staying accountable to your projects throughout the year. (I also very much appreciate that you share when you ‘let things go’, too!)

Anything with Art Journaling/Mixed Media would be great, too!

    Thank you for asking! 🙂

  • Sue

would love to see a class in backgrounds. Staring at a white page is frightening!!! thanks!!!
