50 Books in 2005

This is following up on last year's challenge. This year, I won't have time for excerpts so I am just going to keep track of what I manage to read.

1. Until the Real Thing Comes Along by Elizabeth Berg
Starting with the easier reads since I am now nine months pregnant and don't have much of an attention span. Let's see what the baby does to that. As always, a pleasurable Berg book. As always, a tearjerker.

2. Map of the World by Jane Hamilton
This was for a book group and I'd never heard of Hamilton before. Since it involves child molestation accusations and dead two-year-olds I prolly shouldn't have read it so pregnant but once I start, I rarely ever put a book down. In the end, I think it was an okay read. I think the author made the book wordier than it needed to be but overall I didn't think it was bad either.

3. The Art of Mending by Elizabeth Berg
Another quick but delightful read from Berg. Made me want to start quilting.

4. Never Change by Elizabeth Berg
The last book by Berg that I hadn't read, except for the young adult ones which somehow don't appeal to me at all.

5. Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
Another fantastic and engaging read from Gladwell. I always recommend him heartily.
