I have no idea how I found this book but my hold came up in the library and I figured i’ll give it a shot and I am so glad I did. It was so much fun! loved it!!

I usually get sick of a book after i read two of a series back to back but this was enjoyable and fun! What a fun random find!
Ok I might be an exception, but this book was TERRIBLE! It was really just an excuse for the author to show off how smart and well-read she is. The characters are one-dimensional. There’s no actual spark. The book drops a million names and ideas without explaining any of them. What a waste.
Excellent and interesting. What an unusual premise and so well written. This book is about friendship, beauty, art, and jealousy. There’s also a lot of interesting ideas about possible futures and love and it’s truly unique. Worth reading.
I like Karin Slaughter. Her mysteries are long but interesting and they stay with me.
I love Kate Bear. I still remember how much her first collection impacted me and I couldn’t wait to read these. As she moves to new stages in her life, the poems have moved too. Motherhood, family, and life are the themes and always being a woman, too. She is such a gift and I can’t recommend her poetry enough. with gratitude to netgalley and Harper Perennial for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve been reading a ton of mystery novels. This one didn’t stay with me but it was ok.
It was okay but also a little too coincidental imho.
I really like Joseph O’Loughlin, I am reading these out of order and I hate how horrific the murders are but I like the character and it keeps me occupied.
There was so much I liked about this book but in the end, I think it was too long. I think it could have easily been 50 pages shorter and still really profound and interesting.
For some reason, I thought I wouldn’t like this but I really did. It was sweet and really enjoyable.
Enjoyed this one. But took a while to get into it. |
