I Really Really Like to Cook Christmas Breakfast

Another long title, I like them. More CHA layouts for The Girls’ Paperie. This is using the new Tinsel and Twig line.

The journaling Reads:
Christmas is by far my favorite holiday and there are many things I love about it but my favorite part of the day is when I get up before everybody and set our table with the special Christmas dishes we have, some delicious fruit, and start to prepare our breakfast. In 2008, it was waffles and last year I made pancakes. Just seeing the dishes, the lights, and my family, makes me deeply happy.

Pumpkin Carving and How I learned to Tolerate Halloween

Another long title. More CHA layouts for The Girls’ Paperie. This is using the new Toil and Trouble line.

The journaling Reads:
Even after the eighteen years I’ve been in the United States Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I don’t like anything scary so I guess it’s no surprise I don’t like this holiday. But two years ago Jake bought a pumpkin carving kit for us and it quickly became a favorite of mine. And now I look forward to it every year. It’s the only thing I like about Halloween. At least there is one!

Unlike Your Mama You Embody the Halloween Spirit

Long title. More CHA layouts for The Girls’ Paperie. This is using the new Toil and Trouble line.

The journaling Reads:
Little boy, I am so glad that my dislike for Halloween has not affected you one little bit. You love it anyway and make sure to get into the spirit of it each year. My favorite was in 2008 when I bought you this dinosaur costume and even though you wanted to be batman you fully got into your costume and clawed and roared like a dinosaur. Seeing you makes me appreciate Halloween.

Moments Before it is Gone

More CHA layouts for The Girls’ Paperie.

The journaling Reads:
This is one of the biggest reasons I love taking so many pictures of you. I can never tell which one will be a milestone. Here’s a simple looking photo but as it turns out it was one of the last before you lost your tooth. I am so glad I have it. Captured forever. June 2010.

You Are Always Watching Your Brother

More CHA layouts for The Girls’ Paperie.

The journaling Reads:
You are always watching everything your big brother does. Observing, learning, and also laughing. As a younger sister myself, I am very familiar with the sense of awe older siblings bring to our lives. I love watching you watch him. You know what? So does he.

The Best Part of Our Day

More CHA layouts for The Girls’ Paperie.

The journaling Reads:
The very best part of our day is the moment Daddy walks through the door. Both of the kids run to him and jump for a hug. And I am very happy knowing my love and my helper is now at home. It puts a big smile on all of our faces. – May 2010 –

Loving Dressing Up

As promised, here is one of my layouts for CHA. This uses papers and stamps from the Paper Girl and alphabet stickers from On Holiday.

I love love that stamp.

The journaling Reads:
Since we’ve had the boys, I rarely ever get dressed up. But recently we were invited to a birthday party and I got to wear my pretty but comfy black dress. It was nice to get all dressed up and fit into my pre-kids clothes. We need to do this more often I think.

Weekly Layouts – Thumb Sucker

Another layout I did just for myself.

The journaling is about how David never sucked his thumb so watching Nathaniel comfort himself this way is new to me and how tiny his thumb looks in his mouth and how it is helping him and how I am glad he’s found a way to soothe himself.

He Loves Making you Laugh

Since I don’t have a craft project for now. Here’s another one of my Lily Bee layouts I did recently.

I love all the things David does to make Nathaniel laugh. And how much we both love to hear his laughter.

Weekly Layouts – 4PM Blues

This is with the July Kit from A Million Memories. Love this kit!

Every day, right at 4pm or so, Nathaniel starts getting grouchy and whiny and unhappy. It’s how I know we’re getting close to the end of the day. We then eat dinner and start preparing for bedtime.

You Have So Much Beauty Inside and Out

Last Week, while I took a break waiting for the new CHA products from The Girls’ Paperie, I did a few Lily Bee layouts. Here’s one.

Since the papers were so happy, I thought it’d be fun to use Kraft as my background.

I Hope You Always Laugh and Conspire Together

I swear I don’t like sketches. They always stress me out. But for some reason, two months in a row now, the My Mind’s Eye Sketch Challenge immediately inspires me. I look at the sketch and I have ideas right away. Last month it was the punched background and this month, I looked at the sketch and I saw empty circles. Right away! I don’t even scrap circles, I have no idea what’s up with that.

Since I had some My mind’s eye goodies in my A Million Memories July Kit that were sitting right on my table, I decided it was serendipity.

I love this photo of my two kids together cause they look like they are laughing at an inside joke. They look like they are conspiring. And I deeply hope that they continue to be such good good friends forever.
