Every Summer After by Carley Fortune
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was light and fun. It’s been a stressful few months so I’ve been enjoying lighter reads that distract me but don’t take too much of my energy. Loved this one.

I started and stopped this book several times and I am so glad I made my way through it. It was actually quite good. I like Harrow’s stories and I love her imagination.
3.5 stars rounded up. I really liked the concept of this story about a woman who goes back to her college reunion to discover that there indeed was a memo on how to be successful in life and she missed out on it the first time around. I also love time travel-y stories so I knew I’d like this one. And it mostly didn’t disappoint. Some parts of it were a little over the top and too much for me, but most of it was enjoyable and I liked the concept a lot! with gratitude to netgalley and Harper Perennial for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review
I loved this second chance story of Liz and Tobin. I really enjoyed the juxtapositioning of improv on both her career goals and on their relationship. I loved several of the side characters and I also loved how much Tobin loved his wife. It was a touching story that had funny moments. It was the kind of romance where you see where it’s going and you’re rooting for them fully. with gratitude to netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
I love Yung Pueblo. I can read and listen to these books every single day and never get bored of them. love his quiet wisdom.
eh this was ok. Kept my interest and it was what i needed during this heavy and stressful month.
I love Ali Hazelwood, her books just make me happy and I know what to expect and she always delivers. Light and fun and sweet.
What a gift Oliver Jeffers is. I loved every moment of this book. My kids had his books as their favorite and even as an adult they are truly magical.
I enjoy Cousens and this was no exception. It was a great sweet book that I loved reading. If you’re looking for something light and fun, this is one to not miss.
What a pure joy this book was to read! I loved the characters and the voice of the author almost immediately. This romance story is sweet, funny, thoughtful and just delightful. The town has Gilmore Girls vibes and both of the main characters are hard not to root for. Even though we don’t learn a lot about Izzy, she’s wonderful to root for, too. I hope there will be sequels as we can have Izzy’s story or Silas’ story next. With gratitude to netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
3.5 super fun, quick read. Funny banter. Good writing. Romance but also quite funny in many parts. Enjoyed this one.
I loved this beautiful story of a girl who’s trying to understand what happened to her mom who disappeared when she was little. It involves magical realism and some beautiful characters. And a lot about belonging. |
