Daily Diary – August 21 2011

Today I was too lazy to take more photos but we, of course, have the family ones. I snapped a good one of the boys today.

David is super-seriously focusing on taking the photo.

we spent most of today’s session laughing.

Even before the tickling.

Though the tickling was super-fun too.

and made for some awesome expressions, of course.

I was a quiet day here: my favorite kind. I did some art, some scrapbooking, watched some TV and just relaxed. Now it’s game night time and then we go out for date night. A wonderful way to end a great weekend. I hope yours has been so, too.

Three Things I’m Grateful For:
1. I am grateful for more art time. I need to take some time and think about all this art i am doing but I am having too much fun doing the art.
2. I am grateful for fun TV to watch while I work.
3. I am grateful for family night and date night. Yey!

Three Things David’s Grateful For:
1. I am grateful that we will play Blokus * {his pick for the journal}
2. I am grateful that I played soccer with Daddy.
3. I am grateful that we will also play connect four.

    I love all your work: scrapbook pages, art journling, blogging etc. but what i don’t understand is why as a good photographer do you take the family-time photos in front of the kitchen sink with the dust-buster and likes in the background. Wouldn’t a nicer background, somewhere else in the house look better?

      i was thinking about this just today. that one spot gets the best light in my house. and setting something beautiful takes time and effort which i worry would make me put it off more. the thing with this is it works. it’s simple, we do it. all that matters to me is that we’re in it. the dustbuster, ipod, phones, those are a part of our life. i don’t mind them 🙂

  • You have some great, fun photos that in years to come when your beautiful boys are grown and have children of their own you will be proud to pull out and show your grandchildren. It is family time and you documented it. I love the tickling. I hope you have a good date night and game time.
