A Book a Week – Wool Omnibus Edition

Wool was gifted to me by my friend Nicholas. He said that since I liked The Maze Runner, I would most likely enjoy this one even more.

Man, was he right!

If you like science fiction at all, this book is absolutely amazing.

I devoured all five books nonstop. I wanted to just read read read. The characters, the plot, the storytelling are all fantastic in this book. I cannot say enough awesome things about it.

It’s also an awesome story of a non-famous writer who published a short-story in the Kindle store that got so popular that he wrote all the books. I am so glad he did and now he has a book deal!! Truly awesome!

  • That’s funny…I picked this up off the shelf yesterday at work. Just randomly because the cover caught my eye when I walked past it. I came ***this close*** to checking it out, but decided not to just because I have some other books I’m working on. I think two interactions with it in less than 24 hours is a Sign From The Universe that I should read this. 🙂

I totally LOVED this book – just awesome. Have recently finished “Shift” which is next in the series and is a Prequel – it was great too. Like you Karen, I am an adult who enjoys reading young adult fiction. I have read many of the books you have critiqued. If you haven’t read these already try Cinder by Marissa Meyer (and also Scarlett), The last Survivors series by Susan Beth Pfeffer, The forest of hands and teeth series by Carrie Ryan and Across the universe series by Beth Revis – all terrific.
