Journey into Collage – Week 20

Page twenty:

I wanted to play with some of my Maya Road stamps so I just pulled them out along with other Maya Road goodies and I just had fun. I like how I am not afraid to be messy with this project!

Here are some more shots of it:

Journey into Collage is a project for 2012. You can read more about it here.

you love and hug and teach him

This layout was for Maya Road CHA Winter show.

Journaling Reads:
My sweet boy i know that Nathaniel gets on your nerves sometimes. But I also see that you can tell how much her adores you and loves doing anything you do. So I really feel grateful when you ply with him and show him things. And watch out for him and are patient with him. I love that you hug him and help him. Thank you for being such a great big brother. I love you so much.

I love my life with my boys

This is a layout I made for My Mind’s Eye’s blog for April.

And the journaling says:
Many people ask me if I wish I had a girl. I guess being the mom of two boys must make me want to have a little girl but I must admit that I really don’t. I love my life with my boys and I just adore how much they make me laugh every day. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Year-Long Classes – Month Three

Since I spent the night watching Glee with Jake and it’s almost 9pm here, I figured I might as well catch up on posting about the yearlong classes. So here is March.

I am taking two year-long classes at Big Picture Classes this year. I am pretty sure you must have heard of both. Even though these are not amazing, I still thought it would be fun to post my progress each month. If for no other reason than to record things.

Here are my OLW pages for March:

my one-thing was two things. one was to go out to breakfast 3 times and the other was to drive on the free way 3 times in March. And despite the difficult months, I accomplished both:

here it is open:

And then here’s the Move More, Eat Well page for March. Looks like I didn’t photograph it in my album but I do have the page:

And here we go. That’s where we are now. I will post a April update soon.

I cannot wait to share my love of school with you

This is a layout I made for My Mind’s Eye March newsletter. Kind of bare I know but I like it.

And the journaling says:
My dear boys, I am so excited that you are both finally n school. I love going to school and I can’t wait to share all the school days with you as you go through it too. There’s nothing as magical and learning new things and being with your peers all day long. I found it to be such a special time in my life and I am so excited for you. And I love to see your smiley faces going to school.

totally absorbed and captivated

This layout was for Maya Road CHA Winter show.

Journaling Reads:
I snapped this photo of you while you were watching TV. You’re holding a tissue cause you like to imitate blowing your nose since I have allergies and do it often. I love how totally engrossed you are and how cute your tiny fingers look in this photo. I just adore you so much.

The sweet moment of relief and gratitude

This is a layout I made for My Mind’s Eye February newsletter.

And the journaling says:
After you cried so much when we dropped David off on is first day of school i was very worried that your first day of school would be a disaster. I worried and worried. As we walked into the room, you saw this basket of cars and immediately began to play. When I started saying goodbye you were sad but only until you realized you got to stay. Then all was good again. I am so very grateful that you love school so much.

Creative time is the best time

This layout was for Maya Road CHA Winter show.

Journaling Reads:
There are many things I like to do with you or watch you play. But my very favorite is definitely creative time. I love seeing you paint and draw and make your own creations. I love t see how focused you get while you create and come up with ideas. How you like color as much as I do. Maybe it’s cause I love creative time best for myself, too. But my hope is that as you grow up you will always hold on to that creative side and enjoy it.

Year-Long Classes – Month Two

Since I completely got lost in my Savor Project tonight and forgot to type up a post, I figured I might as well catch up on posting these. I am all caught up in both classes but just haven’t had a chance to post the photos. So here is February.

I am taking two year-long classes at Big Picture Classes this year. I am pretty sure you must have heard of both. Even though these are not amazing, I still thought it would be fun to post my progress each month. If for no other reason than to record things.

Here are my OLW pages for February:

the pockets with photos page:

And then I used two blow up pages for the two sets of people who mean the most in my life. My kids:

and my husband:

and there we go. I actually typed up the journaling later and printed it on a transparency that I slipped into the sleeve but I love how it worked out.

And then here’s the Move More, Eat Well page for February:

And here we go. That’s where we are now. I will post a March update later this month.

Yet Another Perk of Working At Home

This layout is for Write.Click.Scrapbook’s April Gallery. The theme is to scrap “I grateful for …”.

Journaling Reads:
There are many great things about being able to work at home. One of them is that I can take a fifteen minute break and set up a table full of stamps for you two to play with and then I can sit next to you and do my work while you create and play and giggle and if you need help i am right here. I am so grateful to get to work from home so I can see both of you growing up.

Never be too scared to explore and question everything

This is a layout I made for My Mind’s Eye for winter CHA.

And the journaling says:
My sweet boys One of the things I learned as I got older is that it’s important to explore as much as you can. Follow all your interests. Never be too scared and don’t give up too soon. You never know what will end up being the thing that fills up your soul and if you get scared to explore you will miss out on living life in the best possible way. So go down every path. Ask questions. Embrace life fully and wholeheartedly.

These are my favorite moments

This is a layout I made for Maya Road for winter CHA.

And the journaling says:
There are so many things that I love about you two but at the very top of my list is seeing the two of you laugh together. Even though these aren’t the highest quality photos I’ve ever taken I just love everything about them. I love how you’re lying on the couch together and laughing with so much joy.The two of you just light up every single of my days. I love you.
