Weekly Layouts – Giggling Together

This is done with the January A Million Memories Kit.

Journaling Reads:
There are some things photos cannot express.

Sometimes you need to smell, sometimes you need to touch, and this is one of those times when you need to hear to get the full experience of this moment. A photo cannot capture the giggles coming from you.

A photo cannot capture the squeals.
A photo cannot capture the brotherly love that makes my heart swell and my soul bloom.

I am so thankful to have both of you and even though this photo cannot capture the real magic of this moment, I am still happy I have it because when I look at it, I get to live that moment over again and smile.

Thank you for making me smile, my boys.

Thank you for bringing all this joy into my life.

Weekly Layouts – At the Park

This is one of the layouts I made yesterday. It’s about how one of the best things about having two children is watching them play together and how David enjoys seeing Nathaniel laugh as much as anything and how lucky he is to have this brother and how I hope they will always play together.

Simple but I love it.

Weekly Layouts – Seven Months

This is done with the January A Million Memories Kit. Journaling Reads:
My little Nathaniel,

today you turn seven months old.

Seven.

Wow, where does the time go?

You are now crawling and sitting up all by yourself. You’re almost ready to stand up. You started eating solid foods and love fruits but you’re not such a fan of vegetables. Especially peas.

You do not like peas. If I try to feed them to you, you make choking noises and a very unhappy face. I’ve learned that if I want you to eat peas, I need to mix it with some fruit.

You love puffs and cannot get enough of them. When I put some on your table, you will grab them and shove them in your mouth.

Your bottom teeth are all the way out and the top ones are on the way.

You’re a big fan of Mommy and want to be near me at all times. Tho it frustrates me sometimes, I love seeing your whole face light up when you see me and I really love that you like me so much and I love holding you and hugging you and kissing you.

I know it will go away very soon but you still have the delicious baby smell and I cannot get enough of it.

My beautiful boy, happy seven months. I love you with all my heart.

Weekly Layouts – David Friend of the Week Mini 2009

Here’s a mini I made with A Million Memories December Kit for David being friend of the week in school. Sorry for the crappy photos.

Weekly Layouts – At Month Six

This is done with the December A Million Memories Kit. Journaling Reads:
My little boy, I can’t believe you’ve already turned six months old. You now have two bottom teeth and can crawl a little here and there, especially when you’re really motivated. You suck your thumb with all your might and it keeps you calm and happy. You can now sit up and do so often in bed to play with your little teddy bear and bunny.

Your naps are finally getting a bit more predictable and I know that if I put you in your bed and leave you alone, you’ll be sleeping within minutes. You have just begun eating solid foods and so far you like pears and bananas and don’t really care for peas. (Neither does your older brother!)

David, your Daddy, and I are all in love with you. We all want to hug you and kiss you nonstop. And you always smile and laugh and welcome the attention and love. You are impossible not to love.

We cannot wait to see what the next six months bring and we’re so thankful you’ve come into our lives, we love you so very much Nathaniel. Happy six months.

Weekly Layouts – Loved and Adored

This was done with the December A Million Memories Kit.

Here’s the journaling:
Most kids are loved and adored by their parents. But you, my son, have the added joy of being loved and adored by your big brother. It’s a big privilege.

Weekly Layouts – Playing Together

This is done with the December Kit from A Million Memories. Here is the journaling:
One of my big dreams about having two kids was that they would always keep each other company. That they would play together and feel the joy of having someone there all the time. Despite the many years you have between each other, I am delighted to see that you’re already playing so nicely together. I know much of this credit goes to your brother, for now. And I know that the days of constant bickering and fighting will come, too. But for now, I am enjoying every little moment of this sharing, caring, laughing, and love.

Weekly Layouts – Cayucos

Journaling Reads:
we decided to take
a family trip to cayucos, ca
a lovely, little beach town
in central coast
we’d never been there before
and hoped it was as nice
as they said
and it was
we relaxed the whole time
ate cookies and drank cider
david watched tons of movies
and played checkers
we walked on the beach
tried to fly our kite
and enjoyed every minute
of being together.
here’s to more vacations
just like that.

Weekly Layouts – 3 Homes

I made these with the October A Million Memories kit.

Weekly Layouts – The Gift of Words

This was made with the October A Million Memories Kit. Here is the journaling:
one of the greatest gifts
my older sister gave me
was to teach me how to read
i know david can’t read yet
but one day he will
and looking at this photo
i am hoping that
he will give you
the same gift
my sister gave me

Weekly Layouts – Lucky Boy

This is done with A Million Memories October Kit. Journaling Reads:
Nathaniel, you don’t know it yet but you’re the luckiest boy ever. Because for the rest of your life you’ll have a big brother who loves playing with you and entertaining you just to see your smiling face. He already spends hours putting on puppet shows for you. Aren’t you lucky?

December Daily – Day 30 and 31

And here’s the end of my book.

and the back:

I am ready to take the decorations down this year. Last year, they stayed up all the way to mid-January but this year, I am ready for some reason.

and the back is following a tradition from last year. Tulips.

This year’s album was a lot harder. But I still love it to bits.
