I did 30 minutes on the bike today and broke my personal record. It was really gratifying to see that I could.

I also did art, journaling, meditation, connection, strength, yoga, stretching, and more.

Grateful for a full day.

I slept in this morning. I did the bike. I sat outside in the fresh air. I connected with friends. I read. I went climbing.

It was a perfectly ordinary day and I am very grateful for these ordinary days.

Things have been stressful here and I find myself stress eating more than i would like.

But I am also hopeful that it will pass and working on being patient with myself.

I’m continuing to ride the bike in the morning but my sciatica appears to be flaring up and I find myself sore pretty much constantly so it might be time to take a step back and evaluate.

Still not able.to get into the routine of journaling. Maybe it should be my April project. Even if for 10 minutes a day.

I certainly need it.

This morning I started doing the bike for 10mins, let’s see how long I can stick with it.

100 Days of Radical Wellness – Day 58

Today was a good day.

I did meditation, the bike, arms, core, stretch, and yoga. Took a cold and hot shower.

Then I had broccoli and spinach drink. I journaled, did art, read and had avocado toast with egg.

Then I read some more, did a bit of work and then went climbing. Got groceries.

Now I am sore and reading more and grateful for a day off that was spent well.

100 Days of Radical Wellness – Day 57

Last year we had to remove the dead tree in our yard and replace it with a new young tree.

This was the first winter the tree’s been through and I was worried that it didn’t make it through.

But today I noticed these tiny green buds coming out of the branches. And I am hoping those are a sign that the tree will be blooming soon again.

That’s how I’ve been feeling lately too. As the weather gets warmer, I feel hopeful and like maybe parts of me are ready to bloom again.

I had the day off work today and here it is 8:30 and I feel regretful about how I spent my day.

One of the ways I’m trying to use this project is to understand what activities help me feel better about the way I spend my time.

I know that moving my body, going out in the sunshine, a warm bath, journaling, and a healthy meal all help.

I also know poor nutrition and too much sedentary time doesn’t help.

What I am still struggling with is how to get myself to do what I know I will be grateful I did vs what feels easy.

Earlier this week I got to paint a little bit. It was magical. I am not sure how to get into a routine with it. But I know that I’ve done it in the past.

Right now I am prioritizing exercise during the week so maybe the trick is to start with once a week on the weekend.

And slowly move from there.
