A Book a Week – the storied life of aj fikry

I can’t remember why read The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry. Maybe it was an Amazon book of the month? Not sure.

But I am so glad I did. It’s a lovely, cute little book about a bookstore owner and a girl who works at a publishing house. It’s a book for book lovers. It’s a simple, easy read that’s sweet and makes you happy.

Recommended.

I’ve had this book home from the library and not gotten to it. I will keep it on my “to read” list. Currently working on The Midwife : A Memoir of Birth, Joy, and Hard Times, by Jennifer Worth for a book group.

  • I really liked this book when I read it last year. I really connected with the characters. But for anyone who hasn’t read it yet, it’s not just sweetness and light — there are some sad things that happen to the characters.

Yes, I’m about halfway through The Midwife and would recommend it. It’s an interesting story, and bit of history at the same time.
