Listen with Intent – Week 34

For this week, I picked record. There’s lots of proof that we need to write down our gratitude to remember it. So we need to record the things we’re grateful for. I used to do this but i’ve fallen out of the habit. I need to get back in it. Apparently once a week is the right amount. Not too frequent so as to not take it seriously but frequent enough for it to be meaningful.

Here’s the pin where I got the lettering..

Are you recording your gratitude?

Today I Know – Week 33

This week’s inspiration comes from this pin. I used pastels and pen on this page. I like how lovely it is. And I added some shimmer just for fun.

A Book a Week – The Desire Map

I read Desire Map many months ago and wrote about it a little here. Even though Danielle LaPorte can be hit or miss for me, I loved this book. Loved it.

I think it’s spot on and I recommend it.

Remember This – Week 33

Life Book week 23 was back to an assignment from Tam. It was about drawing deer. So I took the antlers and put them on my girl. It was also about making patterns.

Since my little girl is quite unusual, I decided the text should say: What makes you different is what makes you special, embrace who you are.

Ain’t that the truth?

Listen with Intent – Week 33

This week’s photo is blurry for some inexplicable reason. For this week, I picked observe. What’s the best way to show gratitude? One of the important aspects of being grateful is observing your life and noticing the millions of things you have to be grateful for. If I don’t observe, I miss so many of these.

Here’s the pin where I got the lettering..

What would you see in your life if you were observing more closely?

A Book a Week – Me Before You

I picked up Me Before You because I knew there’s a movie coming and I refuse to see movies if I haven’t read the book first and this one was very recommended, too.

Even though I read this one really fast, I am on the fence about it. I don’t know that I loved it. I did like it. I can’t even put my finger on exactly what. If you like a nice story, this one is a good one to put on the list.

It’s definitely one of those books you can’t put down. At least I couldn’t until I was done. However it could have been shorter without losing most of its value.

Remember This – Week 32

Life Book week twenty was taught by Serena Bridgeman. I loved, loved, loved her lesson. It was so calm and lovely and I really enjoyed it.

But when I sat down to make mine, all I knew was that I didn’t want to copy hers. I just wanted to do something different. I had just finished a month of painting faces so I decided to make a big face and see where it took me.

It took me to this.

The text says: No one can make you feel anything other than what you allow inside.

I love this one. I need to remember it frequently.

And continuing with my gold obsession, I gave her a gold halo. And of course a little bird on her shoulder.

Listen with Intent – Week 32

For this week, I picked celebrate. What’s the best way to show gratitude? With a celebration of course! Once I am aware of all that I am grateful for, celebrating comes naturally to me. I also want to bring back our weekly celebration parties. I will have to think of a creative way to do that. Let’s see what this week brings..

The lettering I used here comes from a book.
