Weekly Diary – April 6 2013

Here are some snapshots from our week:

we did a neighborhood trick or treat this year so all the kids did it together

my boys loved it

they kept looking for more and more eggs

it was fun because there were so very many

I told Nathaniel I had to take a photo before he ate, he was quite impatient but obliged.

and one more with both of them.

then we went down to David’s favorite place.

NASA AMES exploration center.

david was giddy with joy.

Nathaniel was too impatient to even pose.

the boys explored and explored.

david played with this universe simulator and Nathaniel watched him. I love the way he’s watching here.

then it was family photos.

we love plants vs zombies!

and hugging time.

and here we go. so grateful for my life. i hope your week was lovely, too.

Before this week’s art here’s the important reminder: Please remember, this is personal and hand-made and thus imperfect. If you want perfect art, do not buy mine. Also one more reminder that these are pretty small. 5.5inches by 5.5inches. That’s about 14×14 centimeters). You will just get the original piece of watercolor paper with my art and signature in the back. No mounting, no frame. I don’t want to misrepresent anything. I will put a paypal button under each (you can pay with credit card or paypal.) the button doesn’t update so you will have to click through to see if it’s sold out. I will try to update them as quickly as I can and remove the button if it’s gone, but just in case. Each piece will be $35. That’s US dollars. A Book a Week – Gone Girl

I read Gone Girl cause it kept popping up everywhere. I felt the first half was super-boring. I didn’t get into the story. I didn’t like either character.

And then there’s a big twist.

But then I still didn’t like either character. I kept reading just to see how it would turn out. and I hated the ending. HATEd. I mean really, really despised it.

So in the end, for me, it was a terrible waste of time.

I am sad I read it.

2013 Sketching – Week 14

My goal for 2013 is to make three sketches a week. If I make more, great. If I don’t, that’s ok. Trying to keep the pressure low while still encouraging myself to draw.

Alas it was bound to happen sooner or later. I only got one sketch this week and I am not even fond of it but I am posting it because I did it. It was a crazy week at work and I couldn’t squeeze in any more sketches.
