Weekly Art Journal – Weeklong for August 29

This week was the end of my book, so I used the last page but since it’s quite small and I was dumb enough to make it even smaller with a wide-trim edge I had very little room for anything. To top it off, I forgot to take a completely empty photo so you have a photo after day 1. You can see how I drew lines to make sure I’d be able to fit in all 7 days.

Alas, it’s pretty boring. Next week will be similar, I’m afraid.

And here’s the filled page:

And that’s the end of book one. On to number two.

Weekly Art Journal is a weekly project for 2011. You can read more about it here. And you can find out more about the weeklong daily journaling here.

  • congratulations on finishing your book……i think it turned out fabulously! i really like the way you filled in all your space using vertical columns instead of the normal horizontal! great idea for doing something a little different!

thanks so much for stopping by my blog! with regards to your question about the lana laid paper, i did a search for it and it must be discontinued because i can’t seem to find it anywhere! i’ve been “collecting” paper for so long, it’s hard to say when i bought the lana laid! so i guess i should use it wisely now that i know i can’t get it anymore!

hope you have a great week!

thanks so much Lori! I read your blog everyday. One of my very favorites 🙂 What a bummer for me about the paper! I’ll have to go back to my original favorite the Fabriano Roma paper 🙂

  • Congradulations on finishing your book. I dont think it’s boring at all I love pink and orange color combos. I think the pink trim gave it a nice “pop”. thank you for sharing your page and I am looking forward to your next art journal page.

This is gorgeous, love these colors and the trim is so pretty. What a fun way to do the last page of the journal. Congrats by the way on keeping up with it all this time. Can’t wait to see the next one you do.
