Here’s card four: It says: Choose to Dream Big and Small Choice Cards in a Monthly Project for February 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here. I read The Vigilante Poets of Selwyn Academy for my Young Adult book club. It was incredibly tough to get through. Incredibly. I read the same page 11 times. I didn’t like the name, the cover, or the book itself. There were some interesting bits but overall it’s not a book I would recommend in this day and age where there are so very many great Young Adult books. Here’s card three: It says: Choose to Savor the Little Moments Choice Cards in a Monthly Project for February 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here. Here’s card two: It says: Choose to Dance in the Rain Choice Cards in a Monthly Project for February 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here.
Happy February!! Here’s to a wonderful week! Living Intentionally is a year-long project for 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here. My February project was going to be making truth cards but when I sat down to do it, I decided to make some Choice Cards instead. I wanted to play with my many, many stencils and with acrylic paint. It’s been a while since I did and I missed it. What I love about these cards is they are small (2.5×3.5) and easy to make. I just liked making them. Cute little reminders of all the choices I have every day. Card one says: Choose to grow Choice Cards in a Monthly Project for January 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here.
Just a few photos from this week: and some from the airplane: Weekly Reflection is a year-long project for 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here. And here we are. All the girls I did. Here’s another quick look at them all: and the second set: all but one of them are here. I loved doing this little exercise. I am grateful to Christy Tomlinson for the inspiration. Here’s to hoping February is another month of doing a little bit of art each day. Here’s week four in my sketchbook. I finished while I was in Zurich which is why it’s a bit delayed. I decided to do a few spreads of collections of things. So this one is coffee mugs. It’s not my favorite but it’s okay. Here are closer shots of each side: Today I Choose is a year-long project for 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here. Here’s girl nineteen: Fashion Girls in a Monthly Project for January 2016. You can read more about my projects for 2016 here. I read Powerless because David’s class was starting a book club and this was our first pick. I read this to be in solidarity with David. It was a quick, fun and easy read. It made some interesting points about what it means to be a superhero and what your powers are. There are two others in the series and David read both of them. He loved all three so if you have a middle grader, these are recommended. |
