Day Twenty is all about the Niles train. We’ve taken this ride every year since before Nathaniel was born. We love it.

Day Nineteen is about the last two days of school. Two holiday parties, two holiday concerts. One very tired mommy.

Nathaniel Reads to Mommy is a project for 2014 that I am doing with my 4.5-year-old son. You can read more about it here.

This week’s inspiration comes from this pin. I used color pencils for the cup and watercolor on the background. It’s all crooked but I still like it.

Day Eighteen has two stories. The one on the left is about seeing Mockingjay PartI and then on the right is about a poem David wrote for me.

I read The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared because my friend Cole recommended it. I actually listened to this one, too. On Audible on my phone. Only while I drove the kids to and fro.
And such, it took quite a while to finish it, but it was so worth it.
This book is clever, funny, and quirky.
If you’re into different books that are quirky, I highly recommend this one.
This is one of the Week in the Life pages I made that will be going into my Savor album for 2014:

this one is all about my day at work.

Day Sixteen is about the day we spent at the zoo on Sunday. Even though we did it on Sunday, I wanted to make sure to tell the story. I look at this as the story of our December so I am not super-particular about what’s preserved on what day.

The One Little Word assignment for September was creating a short manifesto and writing the real story on how I am doing with my word.
My manifesto was: Yes, I Can.
It’s never failed to give me strength.
And I journaled about how I always keep trying. I believe in the power of trying.
Remember This is a project for 2014. You can read more about it here.
Today’s page had a drawing of Santa’s present bag so I decided to write about our presents. I had just spent a bunch of time wrapping them all so I thought it was a good fit. It’s one of those story-heavy entries. A reminder of what I like to shop for, how this year’s holiday shopping went, etc. I also attached a snippet of the wrapping paper I used for each of us for this year.:

it’s getting awfully close to Christmas.
Day fourteen was all about the Google Geo Christmas Party. This year’s party was at the Computer History Museum and they had some cartoonists, some fun graffiti photo thingie, ice skating and a photobooth so I wanted to capture all of that. They also had a robot on the dance floor that both Jake and I posed with.
