and here we go. so grateful for my life. i hope your week was lovely, too. Happy December! Weekly Diary is a project for 2013. You can read more about it here. Today is about visiting Nathaniel’s classroom. Some pieces he made and some of playing with Daddy. To the right I added a photo of him signing his name, too.
it’s shimmery.
and the back is the one photo I loved so much. I cut it apart and put it in there as if it were one page:
there we go. Today I wrote a little about how I am feeling this holiday season and how despite being low, I love the lights and decorations so much.
then I included the kids’ letters to Santa. Here’s Nathaniel:
and David:
there we go. That’s day twelve. See you tomorrow. One more page:
I love all of these photos so much. See you next week! The Savor Project is a weekly project for 2013. You can see a detailed post on my goal and other details here. Today is about David’s swimming class. He passes a big milestone and got his backstroke ribbon. It never ceases to amaze me how many milestones happen during December. Then I think, there are milestones each month, we just don’t pay as close attention. Which, of course, made me think that I certainly should pay much closer attention from now on.
more shimmering.
there we go. That’s day eleven. See you tomorrow.
I read about The End of Your Life Bookclub a long time ago, I am not even sure what made me start reading it. But I am so glad I did. It was probably the best non-fiction book I read all year. I loved the mother-son connection of the book. I loved the way he wrote about his mom. I loved the connecting through books. I loved the gentleness of the book. I can’t remember the last time I slowly savored a book as much as I did this one. If you’re into books like this, I recommend this one. I loved the whole thing. Today is about David’s first ever basketball game. I had to blur the other boys’ faces just to be sure. I also have a little photo of Nathaniel with all the other siblings.
some days are simple. there we go. That’s day ten. See you tomorrow. Today is about another yearly tradition: Breakfast with Santa.
I love the gold on this page.
photo with the giant chipmunk:

and then some photos of eating pancakes and making crafts:
there we go. That’s day nine. See you tomorrow. Today is Jake and I going to Nathaniel’s school to be Mystery Reader.
Jake read both Z Goes Home and Let’s Count Goats. Nathaniel was overjoyed. there we go. That’s day eight. See you tomorrow. Here’s this week’s gratitudes and celebrations: Before :
it says: love wholeheartedly. and here’s what the page looks like with all the gratitudes and celebrations:
Just another excuse to create art and remember the present that is my life. Gratitude Journal is a weekly project for 2013. You can see a detailed post on my goal other details here.Gratitude Journal – Week 39 Today is a page with Nathaniel writing the letters of the alphabet. I had one of these last year, too. I love seeing how different they are each year.
The next page is about my ring. This year’s ring says: kind • present • listen
